Massively multiplayer online role-playing game
A massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) is a genre of computer role-playing games in which a large number of players interact with one another in a virtual world. I like most this kind of online games. As in all RPGs, players assume the role of a fictional character, and take control over many of that character's actions. MMORPGs are distinguished from single-player or small multi-player CRPGs by the number of players, and by the game's persistent world, usually hosted by the game's publisher, which continues to exist and evolve while the player is away from the game. Worldwide revenues for MMORPGs exceeded half a billion dollars in 2005,and Western revenues exceeded US$1 billion in 2006. Next to the more traditional subscription model, virtual goods are a second source of revenues for publishers.
World of Warcraft (WoW)
World of Warcraft, is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game. It is Blizzard Entertainment's fourth released game set in the fantasy Warcraft universe, which was first introduced by Warcraft: Orcs & Humans in 1994. World of Warcraft takes place within the world of Azeroth, four years after the events at the conclusion of Blizzard's previous release, Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne. Blizzard Entertainment announced World of Warcraft on September 2, 2001. The game was released on November 23, 2004, celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Warcraft franchise. For me is the Wacraft II the best volume, because this game is most strategy.
